It's been a while. No excuses. Just been blog-lazy! Lots has been going on. We've made lots of changes in our lives. We eat healthier, we grocery shop healthier, we cloth diaper, we let the babies in bed with us, we recycle more, we make our own laundry soap and other household cleaners etc. Yep, we are a little crunchy around the edges. And I love it. A friend of mine what sparked all the changes and I don't think I have really one good answer. It just works for us. But the more I think about how being crunchy and being Christian go hand in hand, I feel like For me, and most likely many other Christian Crunchies, faith in God's original design plays a large role in the crunchy-nes. Basically the "natural" way of doing things, often is the best way even long before science can explain it. Breastfeeding for example. God designed all mammals to produce milk and feed our babies. From the early 1900s up until the 1980s, science said formula was "better", obviously that was wrong. Things like co-sleeping, maintaining a healthy body, being a good steward of the earth we were given, respecting God's design and His authority, are all Biblical principles in some form.
I love the changes we are making and I certainly don't think it is for everyone but it is certainly for us! I have some super fun homemade recipes coming up on the blog! Keep an eye out! I hope you enjoy!
