Crazy Days

It seems like this weekend was a blur.  Friday was an interesting day for me.  It marked the 2 year anniversary of losing our baby, Samuel.  The day was so busy preparing for Piper's first birthday party on Saturday that the sting of those memories was noticably less.  I guess time will do that.

On Saturday we celebrated with 30 of our friends and family, Piper's first birthday!  It was a blast, though she was faaaar from interested in eating cake or opening presents!  We felt so blessed to be able to share such a special day with so many special friends and family.

Sunday, Alex and I threw a baby shower for our amazing friend Linzee.  Her little peanut {I'm sure it's a boy} is due Sept 21.  Alex did a great job of coming up with fun games and making some seriously yummy deviled eggs and chocolate topping for the cheesecake! :)  Linzee looked beautiful as always and got some darling little baby gifts!

Tuesday was Piper's first birthday photo session.  She just has a mind of her own.  At this age Tristan would smile and interact with everyone.  Piper...not so much.  She is fairly serious and a bit shy, but if she knows you she will smile.  She adores Tristan {and absolutly everything he does}, she gets beyond excited when daddy walks in from work, hates her changing table, loves zucchini and kale, dislikes frosting and cookies {whaaaat?!?!} thinks peek-a-boo is hilarious and would let me hold her every minute of every day!  We love that little girl.
